Sponsor:  Laurie Rohrbacher Laurie, a native of Sandusky, graduated
from St. Mary’s Catholic School. Even as a child, she loved to draw.
Laurie nurtured her artistic talent during high school, as well as with
commercial art classes. She is self-taught, easily able to find ways to
channel her creativity. In the 1990s, she painted carousel horses under
the guidance of carver Thomas Wade at the Merry-Go-Round Museum. In
1996, Laurie painted a showroom for a local business, which led to her
own design enterprise specializing in faux finishes, murals, and
decorative painting. Laurie and her husband, Jim, are the parents of
four children.
