Virginia Lillian

Virginia (Castello) Lillian graduated from Perkins High School in 1973. Ginny had her first experience as a professional at the age of 15 when she was hired by Fort Firelands in Marblehead, Ohio, as resident artist. She spent two years painting signs, portraits, and Native American designs on their well-known landmark teepee, which she repainted in 1979. She has developed a business painting portraits, murals, Christmas ornaments, and Easter eggs. Ginny has completed slate paintings of the stained glass windows from several area churches. One of her major works of art is a mural in the children’s story time room of the Sandusky Library. On the lighter side, she does “body art” at area festivals. Ginny, a member of Zion Lutheran Church, lives in Sandusky and has three children and two grandchildren.
