Sponsor: Virginia Lillian Virginia (Castello) Lillian graduated from
Perkins High School in 1973. Ginny had her first experience as a
professional at the age of 15 when she was hired by Fort Firelands in
Marblehead, Ohio, as resident artist. She spent two years painting
signs, portraits, and Native American designs on their well-known
landmark teepee, which she repainted in 1979. She has developed a
business painting portraits, murals, Christmas ornaments, and Easter
eggs. Ginny has completed slate paintings of the stained glass windows
from several area churches. One of her major works of art is a mural in
the children’s story time room of the Sandusky Library. On the lighter
side, she does “body art” at area festivals. Ginny, a member of Zion
Lutheran Church, lives in Sandusky and has three children and two
grandchildren.
