is an Ohio native who has traveled
extensively. For her, summer on Ohio’s North Coast is that special time
between Memorial Day and Labor Day that brings memories of fireworks,
parades, picnics, and soft summer evenings, a season marked by Flag Day
and the Fourth of July. As a veteran, Ann takes pride in her service to
America and wanted to acknowledge the sacrifices of all American
soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. From Vermilion, Ann was
delighted to have the opportunity to paint this design created by
Marilyn Aylward that salutes members of the United States armed forces
currently serving overseas and stateside, including Ann’s own daughter,
an Air Force captain in Germany.
