Don graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor of science degree in education. He continued his art studies at the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, Texas, along with more classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Don taught in Sandusky City Schools, founded the art department at St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School in 1970 and continued to teach at SMCC for eight years before retiring. He is now a sign designer and graphic artist.
